Meal Plan Database:
All Meal plans come with 3 main meals and snacks with all with corresponding recipes and ingredients. All meal plans can be repeated daily for as long 4-6 days, then repeated each week as desired or interchanged with a different option at any time.
The Generic Meal plan provides daily total calorie options for 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300 & 2500 calories. Each meal plan will contain the same meals between 1700-2200 options with modifications in ingredients and changes in snacks to achieve each calorie range. The 2300 & 2500 calorie options are designed separately.
The Generic Plans have no food exclusions except added refined sugars, meaning the recipes may contain all types of meat & seafood, dairy, grains, fruit, vegetables, and legumes.
You may use the Blog Post comments section to request a specific substitute for a food item.
Main meals will require some cooking/food preparation. Some meals are best assembled fresh each day, where others can be made in serves of 3-5 and refrigerated or frozen for consecutive days.
LACTO-OVO VEGETARIAN
From Issue 16 onwards now includes LACTO-OVO Vegetarian Meal plans for 1700-1800 calories & 2000 calories. A lacto-ovo-vegetarian diet is based on grains, fruits and vegetables, legumes (dried beans, peas and lentils), seeds, nuts, dairy products and eggs. It excludes meat, fish and poultry or products containing these foods.
Whilst plant-based meat substitutes may be included in this plan, its important to understand that these foods are highly processed and are not necessarily 'healthier" than their meat counterpart, however they do provide individuals who choose to be vegetarian for ethical reasons with some variety in their diet.
